Mrs Photini Bohacek
Strategic Head of Key Stage 2/3 & Attachment Lead
Deputy Safeguarding Lead
My special interest is pupils who have experienced relational trauma and loss and this formed the basis of my most recent studies at a strategic level. Moreover, by having a better understanding of attachment and innovative interventions based on neuroscience, West Heath can embrace these and do pioneering work in order to restore healing and peace to the lives of the our most vulnerable pupils. Previously, I studied Classics and Law at the University of London and I went on to specialise in Ancient Greek Drama for my Master’s Degree. I started my career in Private Banking and Law and from this foundation, I have acquired a wealth of experience to draw upon for my career in education. In my 13 years at West Heath, I have forged a close working relationship with parents, students and other professionals in order to ensure that the quality of the provision in the Lower School makes a significant contribution to the children’s learning and the development of their hearts and minds. Our school community is one that is inclusive and embraces and celebrates cultural diversity. My interests include visiting museums and art galleries, creative writing, sailing in the Aegean, swimming, tennis and walking in the countryside. I enjoy exploring archaeological sites and absorbing the diverse cultures of other countries with my family.
