West Heath meets HRH The Earl of Wessex

Fantastic Opportunity for our Students

On the 4th of March West Heath School were invited by The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to participate in a visit with HRH The Earl of Wessex. The visit was planned to thank local schools and organisations who run the DofE for their young people and showcase how doing the DofE could benefit more young people, schools, business and youth organisations in the area who are not yet involved.

The event took place at Cobham Hall, our students having been chosen in recognition of their hard work in achieving their DofE Awards. At this event our students showcased their expedition project work, the infamous Bush tucker trials; eating crickets, tarantula, scorpion and meal worms.

The Academic year 2019/2020 has seen West Heath achieve an entire team of Gold DofE Award participants who are looking forward to doing their qualifying expedition in Snowdonia this August.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our hard working and dedicated staff team that support our students and congratulate our students on representing the school and themselves so well.
