Mo Jamil - Winner of The Voice to sing at West Heath

Winner of The Voice to join us in 20th Anniversary celebrations

Mo Jamil rose to fame as Winner of the 6th series of The Voice alongside his coach Jennifer Hudson, however his success did not begin on an easy path.

Mo was adopted aged 3 , by age 8 Mo was back in the care system after suffering abuse at the hands of his adoptive mother. His turbulent family life led to difficulties in his teens, and Mo has suffered many losses, yet through the guidance of his care workers and support network Mo has been able to turn his fortunes around.

It is fitting that in our 20th year an artist such as Mo be here at West Heath to help celebrate the work that we together as a school have achieved for our young people.  Many of our students have faced adversity and we hope that they will be able to take strength and hope from Mo's success story.

We look forward to welcoming Mo at West Heath.
