Celebrating what would have been Princess Diana's 60th Birthday
West Heath School held an Art competition in the memory of Diana Princess of Wales on what would have been her 60th Birthday.
Our students marked the special day with an activity that Diana would have enjoyed partaking in herself. As a student at West Heath, Diana excelled in Athletics, Music and Art.
We are very proud of all the students who participated in the competition and in awe of the masterpieces they produced.
One student commented that “It was really fun participating in the competition. I think it was a great way of celebrating the life of Princess Diana on what would have been her 60th birthday. I learnt a lot and will carry on to learn more.”
“As the Principal of West Heath School I had the privilege of judging the competition along with a year 6 student and our SENCo, Holly. I was very much inspired by the work of our students and the efforts our staff have gone into assist our students progression. It was clear to see how much our students were engaged with the competition and thoroughly enjoyed the process.”
Our students and staff are very proud of the connection between Princess Diana and West Heath School, and I’m sure you can see this reflected in the proudly presented work.
Pictured are the three winning pieces, I am sure you will join me in congratulating our students on their fantastic talent and achievements.
