| To be supported as you take the risk of changing your life and behaviour | To work with us and not against us and to make a serious commitment to change for the better |
| To an environment in which you can learn, which is warm, ventilated, light and has enough space to work | To care for the environment and to play your part in keeping it clean and tidy both for yourself and others |
| Not to be bullied either emotionally or physically | To be supportive of each other |
| To learn without your work being interfered with or put down by others | To respect other people's work and efforts |
| To respect and fair treatment by staff and other students | To be courteous and considerate to staff and other students |
| To have your voice heard and to be treated with sensitivity as a unique person who from time to time may need a listening ear | To speak up when you have a problem. We cannot help you when you keep things bottled up inside |
| To be listened to as someone whose opinions are worth hearing and whose suggestions will be treated sympathetically and not put down or ridiculed | To listen to others and give them a fair turn and to be sensitive to shy people who find it difficult to speak in front of others |
| Not to be compared unfavourably with others but to be esteemed as a unique individual in your own right | To show equal respect for the rights of others |
| To keep the basic rules and guidelines both in the letter and the spirit | To have the basic rules and guidelines for safe and acceptable behaviour explained to you |
| To be treated consistently and fairly and to be allowed to ask questions when you don't understand things | To speak up when you don't understand and allow others to do so |
| To be given opportunities to take responsibility and show initiative within a context of appropriate accountability and guidelines | To do your best to rise to the challenge of new responsibilities and opportunities |
| To aim high, think big and dream dreams as someone who has the potential to make a real contribution to the future of the School and to society | Not to put yourself down |
| To be taught in a way which is helpful for you, which is at the right level and which will motivate you and help you to take responsibility for your own learning | To do your best in lessons and complete your homework to the best of your ability |
| To be encouraged and helped but not forced to overcome problems which at the time may seem to you to be insurmountable | To trust in the support of the staff and try really hard to tackle problems |
| To be helped to make up for the lost time and gaps in your education | To be prompt in attending classes and be well prepared for lessons |
| To be protected from false accusations by the wider community | To stay within the confines of the school grounds |
