The New School at west Heath and the Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks

One teacher and two students were kindly invited by the mayor of Sevenoaks, Margaret Crabtree to attend the promotional launch of local pantomime, ‘Mother Goose’ being held at the Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks, this Christmas. The lucky staff and students were Steve Langley, our Head of Expressive Arts, Sophie Dale, an avid writer (already professionally published!) and Harry Annand, a budding actor.

The students had the opportunity to meet the cast of ‘Mother Goose’ and ask them questions about their roles and responsibilities as part of the show. The cast were wearing bright costumes and were more than happy to answer questions and pose for pictures! Amongst the cast met were Nate James, a successful soul singer, Terrence Hardiman, ‘The Demon Headmaster’ and Leslie Grantham, most popular for his role as ‘Dirty Den’ in Eastenders.
A beautiful two course lunch was provided at the stunning setting of Donnington Manor, Dunton Green followed by interviews and press photographs. Harry was even lucky enough to be interviewed on camera! The New School at West Heath and the Stag Theatre are looking to work together more in the future including students being given work experience opportunities in all aspects of the Performing Arts.
Student's sporting efforts rewarded!
